Anna Young (Auckland Ceramics)

Anna Young creates one of a kind, limited edition pieces that are not just functional but also meaningful to her. It is her moving meditative practice that helps to ground her by connecting to Mother Earth. Informed by her Chinese Indonesian heritage and as a pianist, she often plays with how the light casts shadows upon her pieces so to create an ever-changing silhouette. Her pieces have been selected as finalists in ceramic competitions around New Zealand.
