Iulia Simtion

Originally from Romania, Iulia Simtion has been living in New Zealand since 2011. While training as a teacher a few years ago, she discovered clay—and a deeper understanding of herself: hands that need to be constantly creating and a mind that loves to dream up new ideas and has since then embraced the art of pottery, finding joy in the moments when something beautiful emerges from the mess of working with clay.
