Harinder Rajpal

Harinder Rajpal is an artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau. After studying at Delhi University, he worked in the Indian fashion industry as a textile designer. In 2014, he pursued a Diploma in Business Management in Aotearoa and has lived in Tāmaki Makaurau ever since with his wife and children. While working in fashion he built an appreciation for bold hues and intricate visual forms. Instead of working with textiles, he has now moved into painting. He chooses glass as his preferred canvas, upon which he applies layers of oil paint to create vivid shapes and colours that are inspired by the Abstract Expressionist movement.
