Born in East Berlin in 1975, she found her passion for art after immigrating to New Zealand in 2011. A 2017 textiles graduate, she also trained in traditional raranga (weaving harakeke). Working from her Ōtaki Gorge studio, she creates art inspired by Te Ao Māori and her rural surroundings, reflecting a deep connection to nature. Using natural, often foraged materials, she transforms them through weaving, dyeing, and stitching into textured, tactile works.
