Plie

Plié is a small, framed weaving on paper — a quiet study in colour, structure, and interaction.

Four blocks of fine woven cotton are layered across the surface, each shifting in hue where they intersect. Orange, rust, teal, and blue-grey meet and cross, creating new tones at every junction. The weave is fine enough to read almost as drawing, the threads catching light in a way that paint cannot replicate.

Presented in a white frame with a generous mount, Plié sits comfortably alongside both textile works and works on paper. Its small scale invites close looking, the kind of attention that reveals more the longer it is given.
