Taarn Scott
2024
Wax, string, paint
210mm (w) x 430mm (h) x 19.5mm (d)
Reinterpreting ornamentation and ostentation through natural form and method. These pieces emerge from jewellery as a variety of wax armatures or casting duplicates. The organic forms are defined by string skeletons, with layered wax shells. They look to examine the modern gothic of the climate crisis through the cast-off and temporary, the hive, husk and growth.
