Artist statement: Threads of Time is a self-portrait reflection, past, present, and looking ahead. Beside me two photographs of my children, little, & as teenagers, one on the verge of young adulthood. An open artbook, depicts love of figurative art, paint brushes, a sketchbook, and patterned fabrics surround me. These layered elements reflect a life woven through love, time, and creativity. Through the shifting layers of identity as a wife, mother and an artist. Also suggests a quiet rediscovery of self as I get older & my children grow and move toward independence.
