Maker of the Month: Hawaiiki Pēpi

Our DEPOT Shop | Toi Toa Maker of the Month for July is Hawaiiki pēpi.

Every month we’ll be featuring one of our artists and their works available in our gallery shop, so be sure to stop by and view the collection!

Joelle Holland, a proud Māori Wahine and mother of two, is passionate about empowering her community through her business, Hawaiiki Pēpi. Born and raised in Manurewa, South Auckland, Joelle created Hawaiiki Pēpi to offer Māori-designed products and blankets for babies, combining her love for her culture and motherhood as for her, understanding one’s identity is key, and she wants her children to grow up proud of their heritage. Through her creations, she aims to surround babies with Māori culture, language, and values, fostering a strong connection to their roots from birth.
