Sally Tagg is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), Aotearoa. Her practice spans sculpture, ceramics, photography, and botanically inspired publishing, and she has exhibited across a range of art and design contexts in New Zealand and Australia.
Sally has featured at major sculpture venues and public gardens including NZ Sculpture Onshore, the Sydney Botanic Gardens, Auckland Botanic Gardens, the Brick Bay Sculpture Trail, and Connells Bay Sculpture Park. Her Lightbox work Amethyst Sea Garden was a finalist in the 2022 Walker and Hall Awards.
Currently, Sally is exploring ceramic sculptural works, experimenting with the combination of clay and glass. Working from her Devonport home studio, she creates one-off ceramic pieces using a slow, intuitive process. Botanical imagery and symbolic forms drawn from the natural world often inform her work, reflecting a thoughtful and hands-on approach to making.
