About the Exhibition:
Inkpressions grew from a place of play, experimentation, and improvisation with relief printing. The works explore texture, colour, and organic form through curiosity and the simple joy of making.
Minimal, layered, colourful, and spontaneous, these pieces invite the viewer into what is seen and felt in a single moment. They encourage presence over analysis, offering space to pause, look closely, and experience what unfolds naturally.
About the Artist
Ana Ferrari was born in a small town in rural Argentina. At the age of five, a family move took her to Buenos Aires, where she grew up surrounded by her adoptive family’s picture framing business. For a long time, she did not realise how deeply those early experiences with art, materials, and making had shaped her. Only later did she come to understand how present they were in what would become her artistic practice.
What Ana has come to recognise is that being an artist is, for her, about the willingness to show up and create. She treasures time spent in the studio and the people she has shared that space with. Although she is not formally trained, over the past seven years, her curiosity around different mediums and techniques has evolved into a full-time practice rooted in exploration and experimentation.
For Ana, art-making is about being in the moment. It is about following a feeling of enjoyment and letting go of the idea of a particular outcome. She creates from a place of presence. Making art gives her a pause from thinking and analysing and allows her mind to rest.
By making herself available to create, Ana has learned to look beyond the final work and into the place from which the art emerges. This shift has brought significant growth to her life, her creative practice, and her intention to share this way of working with others. What once felt unavailable to her has become central to how she creates and lives.
Ana sees creative expression and playfulness as a way back to an innate sense of wellbeing. She understands the artistic journey as a lifelong one and feels grateful for the opportunity to embrace it and share it with others.
Workshop
Join Ana for an evening of creative exploration at DEPOT Lounge.
This hands-on workshop invites participants to spend time with relief printing in an open, relaxed way. Ana will guide the session with a focus on presence, curiosity, and process, creating space to experiment and make without pressure or expectation.
No previous experience is necessary. This is an opportunity to slow down, connect, and enjoy making together.
