About the Exhibition

“I still feel the sensation of your fingers 
The softness of your lips opening gently 
To sip my warm nectar… 
I wear fragments of many other lives 
Gone for long now 
But it is just a reminder 
I am your cup of tea forever…”

My work is about reducing compulsive consumption by focusing on recycling/repurposing and rethinking the notion of preciousness.

This exhibition relates to my fashion background in the making; I stitch porcelain, metal. I adorn objects, I make Bijou for the Wall.  

I use recycled Sterling and vintage findings remnants of my time in fashion in France, 40 years ago. 

Circular sustainability. 

Artworks, necklaces/talismans, beer cans/jewellery boxes, brooches/pins, rings for the hand or the neck and a few earrings all presented like a Tea Party. 

About the Artist

For the last eight years Carlson’s jewellery has been exploring the function of the body, its proper language and position in society. Her narrative is about attitude towards adornment, non-gender, ageing, Covid impact. Her practice focuses now on research about recycling/upcycling by repurposing and reviving ancient techniques to promote craftsmanship.
