Build Hope youth workshop with Amnesty International
June 25, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
To inspire outreach towards our Build Hope campaign, this two hour workshop shares ideas for understanding the campaign for refugees and people seeking asylum detained in Australia’s offshore detention centres, especially for those on Nauru Island. Through using visual and drama techniques, students will explore ways to engage empathy and action for human rights. The aim is to be able to leave the workshop inspired to make activities in your own schools have more impact.
Hilari Anderson, who will take the workshop, is a long-standing Amnesty International member and a drama teacher who has a passion for inspiring youth to engage in human rights via drama.
Numbers limited to 30 so you’ll need to RVSP to book a place.
