About the Exhibition
There are plenty of well-known, well photographed landmarks in Devonport. The red and white toadstools on top of Takarunga, the historical facades that line the village high street, our beautiful beaches. But in the rush of daily life, we often overlook the quiet beauty of the mundane—the faded shop signs, the way light falls on an unremarkable building.
These images tell the story of another side of Devonport, a more functional but equally essential and necessary part of the machinery that keeps our community going. DEVO: Behind the Scenes invites viewers to pause and consider the stories embedded in our local surroundings. Take a moment to stop and look and see if you can work out where these places are.
About the Artist
With a keen eye for detail and a deep love for storytelling, Jeff blends photography and design to capture the essence of people and places. Originally from the UK, he has called Devonport home for nearly two decades, immersing himself in its vibrant community.
