Join Naomi Azoulay in a dynamic, hands-on workshop, participants will engage in an intuitive collage-making process inspired by feminist themes.
Through the mindful selection of images, colours, and textures, we will challenge dominant narratives, reclaim the female gaze, and construct powerful visual stories that celebrate resistance, identity, and self-determination.
This workshop invites creative experimentation and personal expression—no prior experience is needed, only curiosity and a willingness to explore, disrupt, and create.
This workshop is open to all individuals aged 15 and above. Tickets are $30 and cover all materials.
About the Naomi Azoulay
Naomi Azoulay is a Tāmaki Makaurau–based artist, educator, and collage practitioner with over a decade of collaging as a tool for storytelling, self-expression, and connection. Her portrait-driven practice explores identity, resilience, and transformation through layered imagery and bold composition.
Alongside her studio practice, Naomi has extensive experience leading creative programmes and workshops across schools, galleries, libraries, and community spaces throughout Aotearoa. She regularly develops community collage initiatives and has participated in international collage events, creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with the medium in accessible and meaningful ways. Known for her warm and inclusive teaching style, Naomi creates a welcoming, judgement- free environment where experimentation and play are encouraged.
Whether you are completely new to collage or have years of creative experience, her approach prioritises curiosity over perfection, helping participants build confidence and discover their own creative voice.
