Inside the Garden 2: Drawing and Painting from Nature with Verity Kindleysides
6 Week Class | 22 October – 26 November | Thursdays 10am-1pm
Whare Toi | 16 Kerr Street, Devonport
Inspired by the Devonport peninsula—linked by jewel-like gardens.
Students will practice observing, drawing and painting botanical subjects with attention to light and shadow.
The sessions are divided into two parts: working outdoors (en plein air, weather permitting) to study plants directly from nature and then continuing the work indoors using natural objects in the studio. A variety of materials will be used to explore different ways of capturing the subject.
No experience necessary this workshop is designed to inspire your creativity in a supportive studio environment.
The classes will occur over 6 weeks, every Thursday from 22nd October to 26th November, from 10am-1pm.
Tickets are $220 and limited to 12 spaces
