Pecha Kucha Night – Courage
September 7, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Everyone has a different way of defining courage.
Courage can be a heroic action, a willingness to persevere despite feeling fear, or a readiness to stand up for what you believe in. Join us for an evening of Pecha Kucha presentations from a diverse group of speakers, all exploring the topic of Courage and its many interpretations.
Pecha Kucha* is an internationally renowned event format where speakers present a slideshow of 20 images, with each image remaining on the screen for 20 seconds – giving a total presentation time of 6 mins and 40 secs. The aim is to give a visually appealing and thought provoking presentation, using powerful imagery and rhetoric. What better way to delve into a complex topic like Courage, than with a Pecha Kucha Night!
Doors open at 6:30pm, Presentation start at 7:00pm. Refreshments will be served.
This event is proudly bought to you by Torpedo Bay Navy Museum, Depot Artspace and Pecha Kucha Auckland.
*Pecha Kucha is presentation format originally devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Kein-Dytham Architecture in Toyko, Japan in 2003. For more info visit www.pechakucha.co.nz
