Resale Royalties For New Zealand Artists Talk
April 15 @ 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm
Artists: Join us to find out how Resale Royalties could benefit you
Did you know that when your artwork is resold, you may now be entitled to receive a resale royalty payment? The new Artist Resale Royalty scheme ensures artists can share in the increasing value of their work – including when New Zealand art is resold overseas.
Join Karen Workman from Resale Royalties Aotearoa (RRA) for a free session explaining how the scheme works, who is eligible, and why artists should register. The scheme applies to a wide range of artforms including ngā toi Māori, painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, photography, video and multimedia art. Artists will also have the opportunity to register with RRA on the day.
Date: Wednesday 15 April, 12 – 1.30pm.
Where: DEPOT Whare Toi, 24 Kerr Street, Devonport (the first building up the driveway to Takarunga/Mt Victoria).
RSVP: Free to attend, register your interest here.
Feel free to share this with other visual artists – its open to all, just ask them to RSVP.
As it’s during the school holidays, kids are welcome if that makes it easier for you to attend.
About Resale Royalties Aotearoa
Resale Royalties Aotearoa Toi Huarau (RRA) is the not‑for‑profit organisation appointed by the Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage to administer the Artist Resale Royalty Scheme in Aotearoa. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Copyright Licensing New Zealand (CLNZ), we ensure visual artists and their successors receive royalty payments when their original artworks are resold in a qualifying sale. We invite artists to register, stay connected, and help grow awareness of the scheme.
“We exist to ensure artists are recognised for the ongoing life and value of their work.” – Resale Royalties Aotearoa Toi Huarau
