The Pigment Club
April 15, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - April 30, 2017 @ 3:00 pm
The Depot is pleased to be hosting The Pigment Club, a free colour activity station set up for the autumn school holidays.
Pigment Club is run by two Chelsea School students Issie and Jack (10 & 8) who developed the club over the summer holidays at home and have decided to open it up for everyone at The Depot Artspace in Devonport.
To quote the kids “Pigment club is about experiencing new things and not being afraid to let your crazy ideas explode. It’s not about the best artworks it’s about who it came from, because you need to be proud of your abilities for art. It encourages all ages to express and experiment with their abilities and ideas, to go wild in their own big or small or tiny imaginations and paint a vivid picture in their minds.”
The Depot will have an arrangement of tables, paper and colouring supplies for everyone to come and experiment with, as well as an ‘inspiration station’ and activities.
Works made at The Pigment Club can be exhibited as part of the exhibition.
We welcome you all to come by Depot Artspace during the school holidays and experience The Pigment Club for yourselves.
Pigment club rules:
