Opening in Verge Gallery as part of Artweek Auckland
Performance Saturday 10 October, 12pm start
A performance installation constructed with string, glass, and steel. Based around the concept of watching what you are doing, this installation is a tale of caution. During the exhibition opening, an invitation is offered to members of the audience to stand parallel to the artist and look him in the eyes, but only through the reflections of the glass. The artist creates an archipelago of obstacles within the space to offer viewers a second chosen reality, opening a conversation around not only his way of seeing, but challenging the viewer to see differently as well.
