After fifteen years working in adult education, largely with international students, refugees and migrants, Emily returned to her creative roots to join the DEPOT Futures team where she works to help creatives along their employment journey.
A musician and writer herself, Emily is passionate about nurturing and growing Aotearoa’s creative economy by supporting one creative at a time. She has spent most of her adult life living overseas immersed in the creative scene of Montréal, and has performed in Japan, New York and Austin.
Emily recently returned to University as a post-graduate psychology student, specialising in organisational and cultural psychology. Her focus is workplace wellbeing, inclusivity, equity and diversity, and how to navigate the current industrial revolution – AI and digital transformation.
Using her skills as an educator and with her modern psychological perspectives and knowledge, Emily has developed and leads our comprehensive Artslab programme to enhance the personal and professional skills of creative job seekers.
