With over 18 years of experience in the creative sector, Jude is an arts leader with a demonstrated history of successfully designing and delivering significant international projects, managing a wide portfolio of public and private partnerships, and offering funding and capability building programmes. She has worked alongside artists, creatives and arts organisations offering strategic advice and support to develop their potential.
Jude joined Creative New Zealand Toi Aotearoa in 2005, and held the position of Manager, International Initiatives and Services from 2012 to 2022. In this role she oversaw a team to deliver an ambitious and complex programme to connect artists and arts organisations with global markets and international networks. Under her leadership, the programme facilitated cultural and artistic exchange initiatives including commissioning of new work. She collaborated with a number of national and international partners to deliver New Zealand’s participation at the Venice Biennale Arte and Edinburgh Festivals and hosted international colleagues here in Aotearoa as well as supported delegations at off-shore markets.
Prior to joining CNZ, Jude managed the Shore Arts Forum, working with the local arts community across the North Shore. She has also held a variety of governance roles in the not-for-profit sector and positions within the environmental sector.
