Depot Artspace respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect information when you interact with our website: https://depot.org.nz.
Who We Are
Our website address is: https://depot.org.nz.
We use WordPress to manage our website, along with Zoho for forms and customer communication, and WPAmelia for bookings and event registrations.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on our site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymised string (hash) created from your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to see if you’re using it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval, your profile picture is visible to the public alongside your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, please avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as visitors can download and extract this information from images on the site.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience and will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we’ll set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.
When you log in, we’ll set several cookies to save your login and display preferences. Login cookies last two days (or two weeks if you select “Remember Me”), and display preference cookies last for a year. Logging out removes login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie stores the post ID and expires after one day.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles). Embedded content behaves the same as if you visited the original site. These third-party websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content—especially if you are logged in to that site.
Who We Share Your Data With
If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email. Otherwise, we do not sell or share your personal data unless required by law or to protect our rights.
How Long We Retain Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely to allow automatic approval of follow-ups.
For users who register (if any), we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal data at any time (except username). Administrators can also view and edit that information.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data
If you have an account on our site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold, except data we must retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where We Send Your Data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. We also use third-party services (such as Zoho and WPAmelia) to process bookings and contact form submissions, which may store your data securely on their servers.
