What's On

Curator of Depot Artspace’s upcoming collaborative project x>1 Richard Penn was recently interviewed by the Creative Matters Podcast.

This episode covers a vast array of topics from Richard’s upcoming exhibition at Public Record (Ponsonby), his collaborative art persona Artu Peatoo with his wife Robyn Penn, migrating to Aotearoa and finding community, international residencies, and the creative ethos for x>1.

Leading up to the x>1 exhibition which will take place at Depot Artspace this October, the multi-pronged project involves a series of public talks exploring collaborative artistic projects past and present. The project is co-ordinated with Auckland Studio Potters, where artists of any discipline are paired with ceramicists at ASP to push medium boundaries and test out cross-disciplinary modes of creation.

Keep an eye on our socials and mailing list for updates on a public talk between Richard Penn and Carla Ruka at Depot Artspace this May!
