The galleries were abuzz with three openings this past Saturday 27 May: Bob Nelson’s Light Industry, Celebrating Devonport’s History of Peace Activism: The Photographic Work of Gil Hanly and John Miller, and John McCallum’s Hokianga.

Maker of the Month: Eva KererEva Kerer is a contemporary jewellery artist based in Whakatū (Nelson). She holds a Degree in Arts and Media and works full-time as an artist, exhibiting her work throughout New Zealand and internationally.
Maker of the Month: Carl van WijkCarl van Wijk is a New Zealand-born artist, now based in Japan, with a deep passion for the unique bird life of his homeland. His striking bird portraits capture the essence of their beauty and vibrant personalities, commanding the entire canvas.
