Maker of the Month: Shaw Road Ceramics
Our DEPOT Shop | Toi Toa Maker of the Month for March is Shaw Road Ceramics.
Every month we’ll be featuring one of our artists and their works available in our gallery shop, so be sure to stop by and view the collection!

Shaw Road Ceramics is nestled amongst the peaceful apple orchards of Oratia, West Auckland. Ceramicist and sculptor Melissa Hastings creates functional stoneware pieces often portrayed in soft tones with a nod to the modernist era.
I believe there is no better material than clay to demonstrate fragility and strength in equal measure, which epitomises everything I seek to reflect and create in my own artistic practice.
