To celebrate 20 years of National Poetry Day, Michael King Writers Centre in partnership with Depot Artspace, will be holding a special celebratory event, “20 Poets in Devonport” on Friday August 25, 5:30pm – 7:00pm, at Depot Artspace. Twenty poets, past and present will give poetry readings and presentations to mark the event, plus there will be a chance to create a collaborative poem for Devonport! Register your interest here.
We have also just heard that New Zealand Poet Laureate [2015-2017] C. K. Stead will read his work, including the piece especially created
“A Birthday” (The Royal New Zealand Navy turns 75).
