Sahana’s practice delves into her experience with multi-hyphenated identities, healing and spirituality. She conveys these themes in the form of mixed media (embroidery, textiles and painting). She bases her work off intuitive flow as they create a therapeutic release for her mental wellbeing. Sahana is inspired by South Asian textile art which is reflected in her work. She runs a community workshop called ‘Nokshi Kotha’ which teaches the importance of collective healing through a Bengali art tradition called nokshi katha.
