Daif King: Still Tho

6 – 24 February

Opening in the Small Dog Gallery

Saturday 6 February, 2 to 3.30pm

Daif King presents new paintings inspired by the ‘aspirational language’ of commodity fetishism. Daif manifests material that caters to our unconscious impulses. Attractive elements are used to their end game of complete uselessness: perfect commodities embodying an overblown allure, intrinsically critiquing the nature of commodities and our religious relationship to them. Daif seeks some semblance of spiritual connection to his surroundings through a perhaps-fruitless Search 4 Sincerity.

Daif King studied at Elam School Of Fine Arts and has gone on to enjoy a varied and rewarding life as an artist and musician. Daif has received critical acclaim internationally for both his solo exhibitions, and as one half of keyboard pop duo Golden Axe.

Still Tho will feature an accompanying essay written by Sophie Thorn.
