DEPOT 2023 in Review

It’s a wrap! 2023 is officially done and dusted and we couldn’t be happier with the year that was and the holiday that lies ahead!

We survived budget cuts (remember them!?), won a gold award at the BEST Design Awards for our lovely new design, painted and primed our building inside and out, grew our team, grew our resilience, grew our love of and respect for the creative sector and across the teams we managed to deliver 21 exhibitions and 28 artist-led events, 213 recording sessions and 303 workshops and mentoring sessions, and we supported two wonderful and very memorable Open Studio days.

We have loved every minute of it (nearly) and we are eternally grateful to work with such talented and inspiring creatives.

Thank you to everyone who worked with us this year. Thank you to our funders and partners. Thank you to our Board, our staff and our visitors.

We’re back in January, and will have lots to share with you about next year’s lineup and a new venture we’re excited about!

Poipoia te kakano, Kia puawai.

Nurture the seed, and it will blossom.
