Depot Sound Competition: Congratulations Dyaltov!

Depot_Sound_Web

Depot Sound Recording Studio and Under the Radar recently teamed up to give one lucky band/musician a full day of recording/mixing at the Depot Sound studio with respected engineer Dave Rhodes. To get in the draw artists had to send through an online stream of a demo or previous recording along with a bit of information about their band/project and what they planned to record.

The Prize: A full day recording and mixing at Depot Sound and a $100 discount on a follow up booking. Featured new post of a finished track from the session on Undertheradar.co.nz for a week
The Winner: Dyaltov is an independent, lo-fi folk project. So far they have released a collection of home recordings via their bandcamp site. Their lyrics evoke loneliness and nostalgia and are “written whilst looking out the bedroom window at night”. The band plans to start recording another EP and Depot Sound cannot wait to get involved! You can listen to Dyaltov’s current recordings at dyaltov.bandcamp.com.

Depot Sound and the Depot Artspace would like to say a huge thanks to Under the Radar and all competition entrants. The quality of the entries was very high and we wish the best of luck to all the artists in their future endeavours.
