Communications & Engagement

Nadine has over two decades of experience in magazines, websites and book publishing. Her career began in South Africa as editor in chief of ELLE magazine, and continued in New York where she lived for 10 years, working as an editor at Harper’s Bazaar and the New York Post and as a senior editor at Assouline Publishing, producing coffee table books and editing web magazines.

After completing a mid-career MA in arts and culture journalism at Columbia University in New York, she focused on writing about the arts and visual art in particular. She has taught journalism at tertiary level and collaborated on photography books with her Kiwi artist husband. Living in Aotearoa New Zealand since 2014, she continues to freelance as an arts journalist and support authors to find publishing and film/TV deals as the co-founder of High Spot Literary Agency with business partner and fellow literary agent Vicki Marsdon.

Nadine collaborates with Lauren Woolf and the Depot team as Marketing & Communications partner to get the word out about the many creative opportunities available in this thriving creative ecosystem.
